Director of Nursing Services, Naomi Wambugu, reflected on the profound loss to a highly specialized field, noting that Kenya has fewer than 200 trained pediatric ICU nurses nationwide.

She emphasized that Judy’s expertise, humility, and tireless commitment made her an invaluable member of the pediatric critical care team.

During the service, Dr. Lesiyampe extended condolences to her husband, Timothy Ikime, their three children, and the extended family, offering support in this difficult time.

As prayers and hymns echoed through the chapel, colleagues shared memories of Judy’s kindness, diligence, and the positive impact she had on patients and families alike.

Many remarked that her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and as an enduring inspiration for the nursing profession.

The gathering underscored the immense respect and admiration the KNH community had for Judy Mwende Mulandi, whose dedication to pediatric care and compassionate service will be remembered long after her passing.
